The books always knew they were in a Straight Jacket with this Game and no choice but to chalk the Crybabies up skinnier than usual. What they didnt bank on was the Public's complete lack of interest in Ukraine, stemming possibly from an opening 4-0 loss still fresh in their minds. Football's a Funny Game and so are Punters, once logged in no price is good enough so The Books had to push their price out even more.
On paper this Game is Italy's but its not played on Paper and while The Crybabies are without doubt the better side, these Two Teams have gone in opposite ways mentally over the last Two Weeks. Ukraine's campaign is already deemed a success and there's nothing but positives going forward. They have nothing to lose, will be relaxed and have a belief in their play. Italy on the otherhand has had nothing but negative things happen in the Fortnight. From sending offs, injuries, poor performances and Team shuffling to off pitch problems hanging over them like a sword of Damacles. Now not only do they meet another Banana skin but one with Shevchenko written on it. He may not be playing well in this tournament but nobody knows more than the Italians what He's capable of and Psychologically they may over compensate.
Regardless of all this, at this point in the Competition it would be stupidity to underrate anyone, and that being the case, the prices on Italy are scandalous. :toast:
